Carpal Tunnel

Assessment of wrist and upper-extremity symptoms that may be consistent with carpal tunnel syndrome.

Understanding hand and wrist symptoms

Numbness, tingling, weakness, or discomfort in the hand can have several causes. Carpal tunnel syndrome is one possibility, but symptoms may also relate to other areas of the upper extremity or neck.

A focused evaluation can help determine whether conservative musculoskeletal care may be appropriate or whether additional testing or referral should be considered.
