Practical backpack considerations
Choose a backpack that fits the child, use both shoulder straps, place heavier items close to the back, and remove unnecessary contents. A child should be able to put it on and take it off without strain.
Pain that persists, follows an injury, interrupts normal activity, or occurs with weakness, numbness, fever, or other concerning symptoms should be discussed with the child’s pediatric or other appropriate healthcare professional.
